Dapol Railed Vehicles C049 Editorial Review
The Dapol Model Railway Class 9F "Evening Star" Locomotive Plastic Kit - OO Scale 1/76 has received mixed reviews from customers. While some praised the model for its detail and value for money, others expressed disappointment with the quality of the product. One customer was pleased with the model's quality and fit, despite some parts requiring cleaning due to old molds. They also mentioned the need for painting to enhance the model's appearance. Another customer found the kit to be unusable due to broken and misshaped parts, as well as missing components. However, a different user converted their kit to the Black Prince and found the building process to be fairly straightforward. Although there were complaints about the presence of broken parts and misshaped pieces, some users found the product to be of good quality and were satisfied with its delivery. Customers mentioned that the kit required some cleaning and removal of flashing, and that the assembly instructions could be challenging to read without a magnifier. Despite this, they were able to create a nice locomotive when finished and painted, without the need for an airbrush. Overall, the product seems to have a good potential for a static display on a layout with proper care and attention.
