ハロー Format: Audio CD Editorial Review

**** The "Complete Singles Collection" by the British Glam Rock band Hello offers a deep dive into the energetic realm of 70s glam rock that is both nostalgic and enlightening. This compilation features all 16 singles released by the band, including A-sides and B-sides, presented in chronological order, making it an essential collection for both existing fans and newcomers interested in the genre. One of the standout features of this collection is the accompanying 17-page booklet, which enhances the listening experience by providing detailed insights about each song along with photographs and chart placements. The inclusion of commentary from band members, specifically notable contributions from lead singer Bob Bradbury, adds authenticity and context, highly appreciated by listeners who seek to know the behind-the-scenes narratives of the music. Musically, the tracks deliver a charming blend of catchy choruses and solid rock instrumentation, characteristic of the glam rock era. While the collection might not feature jaw-dropping hits that changed the landscape of rock, the material is presented in a way that genuinely captures the spirit of the times, making it a delightful experience to explore Hello's catalog. The collection not only serves as a nostalgic trip back to the 70s but also rekindles interest in a band that, despite not achieving massive commercial success, has a respectable legacy. Casual listeners may discover the infectious energy of songs like "New York Groove," reinforcing the idea that Hello had an undeniable mark on the glam rock scene. While the tracks might not all resonate equally, the compilation is still deemed a worthy addition to the collections of glam rock enthusiasts. It encapsulates the essence of a vibrant era in music that many fans hold dear, and it's clear that Hello has earned their place in this rich history. **
