Spank Pedals E02001A07100SPK Editorial Review
The Spank Spike Reboot Pedals have garnered a mixed reception from customers, showcasing a spectrum of experiences that highlight both their strengths and weaknesses. Many users praise these pedals for their robustness and grip, especially when paired with compatible shoes like Five Ten. Reviewers note that the pedals offer outstanding durability, outperforming other well-known brands they have tried, and serve well during diverse riding conditions. Customers with wider feet appreciate the fit, confirming that the pedals provide a solid platform for pedaling. However, there is a notable concern regarding the aggressive grip provided by the prominent pins on the pedals. While this feature enhances stability during rides, some users have found it to be overly grippy, making it challenging to adjust foot positioning without completely lifting their foot off the pedal. Additionally, there have been reports of quality control issues, such as bearing problems in new sets, which have left some customers wishing for a more reliable product. A few users even experienced complaints about slipping, which contradict the generally positive grip feedback. Overall, while many riders celebrate the Spank Spike Reboot Pedals as a valuable asset for mountain biking, others have reservations, particularly about their pricing and durability over time. **
