    Risposta: I start mine early in the spring and I have great success each year. I live in upstate NY so depending on where you live times might vary.

    Risposta: 90 to 100 days. Great potatoes for baking, mashing, and canning. You must keep them in a cool place to keep them from sprouting.
  • Domanda: Can I plant Russet potatoes in early April in NE Ohio? Can I stack and fill old car tires for planting?

    Risposta: Car tires are full of chemicals that can leach into soil and contaminate plants. It is not recommended to use them for something you can eat.
  • Domanda: Instructions for planting didn't come with shipment. I'm a first-time grower. Do I plant whole potatoes right away or do I need to let the eyes grow first?

    Risposta: The short answer is 'yes'. Plant as you see fit. You can divide potato seeds into smaller chunks if desired.
  • Domanda: Are these indeterminate potatoes?

    Risposta: Yes, they are. We hill them deep because the potatoes are in multiple layers. We always get a good crop and big potatoes.
  • Domanda: I live in Arizona near the Colorado River. It's mostly warm, not hot, but also doesn't freeze. Average temperature ranges from 50°F to 80°F, cooler at night. Will these potatoes grow?
