To create a better seal, the user should wrap a couple of layers of Teflon tape on the upper male threads of the valve before screwing on the extender. Some air leakage might occur but it's still possible to inflate the tire with a pump or CO2 inflator. For a permanent fix, the reviewer recommends the other type of valve extender that requires removing the valve core. Overall, customers seem to be happy with their purchase. One customer said it was the "Best 2 bucks I ever spent!" Another customer complained that the extender leaked air when trying to pump up the tire, and they were unable to get the tire to 100 PSI.
