Occult & Supernatural Editorial Review

The Vampire Files, Volume One is a captivating collection featuring three interconnected stories that merge the classic feel of 1930's detective novels with urban fantasy. P.N. Elrod introduces us to Jack Fleming, an out-of-work reporter turned vampire, who cleverly navigates his new reality without the cliché angst typically associated with vampire tales. Instead of grappling with existential dilemmas over bloodlust, Jack's unique approach involves a straightforward solution: drinking cattle blood. This refreshing take on vampirism, coupled with his witty personality, makes Jack relatable and engaging. Readers enjoy the smooth flow of the storytelling and the charming characters, making this volume a compelling read for urban fantasy fans.
