TEXALAN Fixturing Clamps Editorial Review
The TEXALAN Hold Down Clamp Clamping Set Kit Bridgeport Mill is a set of heavy-duty clamps for use on a drill press or mill. The kit comes with a good, basic set of clamps, and the finish is decent, with lots of oil protection from the factory. The t-nuts are knurled, so you won't drive a stud into your table. Even though no wrench is included, it's up to you. The container tray is heavy and has slots on the back, so it can be bolted to a machine or wall and removed easily. According to a buyer, these clamps are just 1/2" tee nuts for more money, and they look like they're made in a third-world country with very poor quality. Another buyer found the kit disappointing with straps cast with shrinkage hollows, under-sized nut flanges, albeit having sharp teeth. On the other hand, one buyer found it a nice complete set of 1/2" hold down clamps for their Bridgeport mill, and it worked great on their smaller 9” rotary table. The parallels that come with it are right on and true, and there haven't been any drawbacks yet.
